The color design for this film was crafted in close collaboration with cinematographer Stephan M. Vogt, who aimed to capture the magical and occasionally slightly scary essence of childhood. The grade centered around a soft, shimmer-like quality in the light, with diffused highlights that added a dreamlike texture to the image. Cyan and green hues were introduced into the shadows to evoke a sense of mystery and gentle unease, while warm oranges and beige tones brought emotional warmth and grounded the world in a tender, childlike perspective. This palette helped immerse the viewer in the protagonist’s vivid inner world.
